English language proofreading and correction
Whether you are writing a paper for publication in an academic journal, finishing the final draft of your dissertation or thesis, producing a brochure for a national park, promoting a new product or service on your organisation’s website or even making a presentation about your latest activities, it is imperative to ensure that the English you use is correct and makes logical sense.
One of the most common reasons cited for journals to reject an academic paper is poor (English) language.
Inaccurate wording on a website can lead to a loss of reputation and mistakes in the English used in a presentation can cause confusion for the audience and embarrassment for the presenter. On the other hand, well-structured texts with accurate grammar, spelling and the most appropriate choice of words and phrases can make a powerful and positive impact on your audience.
Ensure you express your ideas using the conventions of academic style and register by having your work proofread, edited and corrected by a native speaker who has already been asked to correct a variety of texts on a range of subjects – all of which have been successfully published.
I will consider all English texts for correction and charge between 3 and 5 pence (GBP £0.03 – £0.05) per word (minimum 500 words) depending on the size of the document and level of correction required.
I will proofread your text and correct any errors in spelling, vocabulary, grammar, punctuation, word order and style. I will not change the content of your text in any way, but I will suggest alternative phrases or wording to ensure the meaning you want to express is correct, and that the text is coherent and cohesive.
Your work will remain confidential – your text or any part of it will never be shared with anyone else during or after the correction process.
