English language learners can have a wide range of needs which may not be covered in a particular course syllabus. While Earth English courses are designed to teach learners the language and skills which are most relevant to their level and type of learning (general, specialist or EAP), some learners may choose to study specific language areas, such as vocabulary, grammar or technical terms, or make improvements to language skills, for example, to give presentations, write academic texts or conduct research.
